#Place2Worship India

It is our vision that Christians across the world are able to worship together peacefully and freely. However, in India, Christians have very little space in their own country to enjoy their rights to peaceful assembly and freedom of religion or belief (FoRB).

Mob violence creates fear among Christians, hindering their ability to gather and worship together, and churches are constantly vulnerable to attacks by extremists.

State-level anti-conversion laws also impact freedom of peaceful assembly for Indian Christians. These laws are often abused to target Christians. The expansion of such a legislation to the national level may cause further limitations to freedom of peaceful assembly and FoRB.

Can you help?

We need you to write to your MP to urge the FCDO to defend the right to peaceful assembly and the right to freedom of religion or belief for Christians everywhere. We hope that our collective voice will urge the UK government to support these rights in the next annual Human Rights and Democracy Report.

Let your persecuted Christian family in India and elsewhere know that you are standing with them in support, prayer and action.
